Recalled: G & C Raw Ground Lamb Dog Food and Pat’s Cat Turkey Cat Food

The recall involves about 70 containers of raw dog and cat food sold by G & C Raw, LLC of Ohio.

What was recalled: The following raw dog and cat foods:

  • 2 lb. containers of Ground Lamb Dog Food, Lot #MFF022718
  • 1 lb. containers of Pat’s Cat Turkey Cat Food, Lot #WWPKTF051618

According to the recall announcement, the products were distributed through direct delivery in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina and Georgia.

No illnesses, humans or pets, have been reported to date. About 70 containers of the pet food are part of this recall.

“The recall was as the result of a routine sampling program by the Ohio Department of Agriculture, which revealed that the finished products contained the bacteria,” the announcement stated, adding: “The company has ceased the production and distribution of the product as the company continues its investigation as to what caused the problem.”
